JSON Tool

This page helps developers and content editors quickly check whether a JSON string is valid, then inspect the result as a readable tree.

What this JSON tool does

It parses the text locally in the browser, reports syntax errors and formats valid JSON with two-space indentation.

The tree viewer makes nested objects and arrays easier to scan than raw minified JSON.

Useful for quick JSON checks

Use it when debugging API payloads, editing configuration snippets or checking copied JSON before sharing it.

The input stays in the page session and does not need a server round trip for validation.

FAQ

Does this validate JSON5 or JavaScript objects?

No. It uses standard JSON parsing, so keys must be double-quoted and trailing commas are not allowed.

Does formatting change the data?

Formatting keeps the parsed values the same, but whitespace and object key order follow the browser's JSON serialization result.

Can I paste very large JSON here?

Moderate payloads are fine. Very large files may still slow the browser because validation and tree rendering happen on the page.
