Network Test

This page helps estimate whether the current browser connection is responsive and stable enough for everyday device checks.

What this network test measures

It measures download speed, upload speed and TCP timing signals through M-Lab NDT7.

The result can reveal obviously slow downloads, weak upload performance, high latency or unstable jitter across common test paths.

Why results are approximate

Browser tests depend on the selected M-Lab server, routing and network conditions at the moment of testing.

Results describe the path between the device and the selected M-Lab server, so they are best treated as a practical route check.

Look at latency and jitter together

Low latency means requests return quickly. Low jitter means those response times stay consistent.

High jitter can make calls, games and remote desktop feel unstable even when download speed looks acceptable.

Treat packet loss as a hint

Upload is measured through M-Lab NDT7 because upload tests need a server endpoint that accepts test traffic.

Download sources can fail because public test files may block cross-origin browser requests in some regions.
